Hi! I’m Dariana Florescu and I was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. I spend most of my time writing and reading. I’m also a TV anchor for Aleph Business TV Channel.

I found my mother agency on Instagram, when I was 18 years old. My mom called them and then sent them some photos of me. I think I might have fitted the requirements since they have decided to sign me in. They fitted my standards as well. ;)

When I think to my first test shooting, I remember how big strong were my emotions and how big the lack of self-confidence was. However, the team was so helpful. They had the right speech for me; they made me feel good and safe. I think being receptive is the key. And I am.

The modeling industry offered me many challenges.  It’s more than clear for me that a model needs to be a “brave heart”. To succeed as a model you need to be self-confident, self-conscious, to build your career on strong principles and never give up when you get a “NO” in castings. The today’s “NO” could be a tomorrow’s couple of “YES”.

I can’t say I prep a lot before shootings. Once I got my confidence, I was no longer silent. Usually I talk, talk and talk…  Luckily, I’m funny enough to not be considered annoying.

I remember my first catwalk when I was still a new face. The catwalk went well, but the interesting story is related to the rehearsals time. We were all in backstage together with the creative director of the show. He gave us all the instructions, all the details and all models were silent but I felt questions in the air. So after a couple of seconds of silence I heard my voice asking about something he already told us, but was still unclear to me. Same moment I was thinking he would throw me out of the venue. However, guess what?! Not only he was so kind to explain me again what I’ve asked but suddenly other models start asking questions. So I thought to myself that I should never be afraid to double check an unclear thing or ask for more details.

One of my fav’s top models is GiGi. I started following her since she was featured in the Calvin Harris & Disciples “How deep is your love” video.

I can’t be considered as being a fashionista. However, I have a native sense of how to mix and match pieces.

Social media is new form of life in the ‘21st century.  We sell on social media, we buy on social media, we connect and share emotions or idea through social media.

My favorite super hero? The HUMAN race. I think we have the power to become invincible. Isn’t it cooler to get this ability navigating through life rather than being born with any superpower? Also my MOM is my superhero.

I also like Rapunzel. Bad hair day? I feel you, sister!

Model’s Style Description:

Dating: Chill… He should be a gorgeous genius. Quite simple.

Love: I don’ have time… but it’s ok. He is free to love me.

Sports: I like tennis; however, I do not struggle much.

Your way to attract someone´s attention: I open the door and enter the room.

Your way to have fun: I don’t want to sound mean but I get really amused when I see people being stressed at work. Work should be fun.

The places you usually go: I’m trying to explore my country as much as possible. Romania is full of magic places to visit.

Your way to enjoy the best of life: I put myself into strange situations. Because I can. I don’t leave my comfort zone, I expand it.

The craziest (nastiest?) thing you’ve ever done in a summer time season: After a common fight with my best friend we decided to go visit Brasov (one of the most beautiful touristic cities up in the mountains). We ended in a 5 star wannabe hotel. However, the decision has been taken in 2 minutes.

Fav body part and why: My eyes. When I feel insecure, I just look in the mirror, “we” have a little chat, looking in my own eyes and this is how I get my strength back.

Favorite singer: Emma Peters, Ariana Grande, Madison Beer, Faouzia, Voila (spoiler alert!!! A band of two gorgeous boys!!!), Neoni etc.

Fav food: Salad and soup.

Your guilty pleasure: Chips.
